At first, the other elephants were unsure. "We're too big!" said Ellie, "What if we fall?" But Eddie was determined, so they strapped on roller skates and wobbled to the edge of the jungle.
As soon as their trunks hit the sidewalk, chaos began. Eddie zoomed down the hill, his trunk flapping like a ribbon in the wind. Behind him, the bigger elephants were slipping, sliding, and twirling out of control. Ellie spun in circles so fast she looked like a furry tornado!
Crash! Boom! Bang! They all tumbled into a giant pile of pachyderms, with Eddie giggling at the top.
Maybe roller skating isn't for us," grumbled Ellie as she untangled her trunk.
Eddie grinned. "Maybe, but at least we had fun trying!"
From that day on, the elephants agreed to stick to their jungle walks. But sometimes, when no one was looking, Eddie could still be found zooming around on his skates, trunk waving and giggles echoing through the trees.
